You're 50% through. Pick up right where you left off.

Built for the way you actually read.

  • Pick up exactly where you left off. Your progress travels with you, chapter to chapter and device to device.
  • Follow authors you like and hear the moment something new lands. No endless feed, no algorithm deciding what you see.
  • Binge a finished book, or savor one in progress. Complete books and stories still being written sit side by side in the same library.
  • Start with the classics, free. A public-domain library of Austen, Dumas, the Brontës, and Conan Doyle: complete, beautifully typeset, and free for every reader.

Publish on your terms. Get paid by your readers.

  • Serialize as you write, or publish a finished book. Import an existing manuscript from EPUB and it's live in an afternoon.
  • Set your own tiers and prices. Readers subscribe directly to you: a few dollars a month, or more for a premium tier.
  • Keep 93% of what you earn. Payouts run through Stripe Express to your own account. CosyHarbor's fee is 7%, and joining and publishing cost nothing.

Questions, answered plainly.

Do I need a Stripe account to get paid?

Yes. Payouts run through Stripe Express, so you connect or create a Stripe account and earnings land there directly. CosyHarbor never sits between you and your money as an extra wallet.

Who decides what a subscription costs?

You do. Authors set their own tiers and the monthly price of each one. Readers subscribe to you directly and can cancel whenever they like.

What does it cost to read?

Nothing to start. Free chapters stay free. If you want an author's paid tier, you pay the price that author set. There is no CosyHarbor markup added on top.

How much does CosyHarbor take?

A 7% platform fee on what you earn. Joining and publishing are free, and the fee only applies once a reader subscribes. You keep the other 93%.

Where do the classic books come from?

They are public-domain works by Austen, Dumas, the Brontës, Conan Doyle and more, published on CosyHarbor from the carefully produced Standard Ebooks editions, with each book credited to its original author. The texts are free for every reader, and always will be.

Can I bring a book I've already written?

Yes. Import an existing manuscript from EPUB and publish it as a complete book, release it chapter by chapter, or start something new in the editor. Finished work is as welcome as work in progress.

Can I leave and take my work with me?

Your stories are yours. You can export your work and close your account whenever you want. There is no lock-in.
